Horrible book to read. Not sure how old the Judge is ( but I am going to assume late 30’s early 40’s since he has been a Judge for a long time) and Nora is 18. This story was all wrong. Judge tells Nora to call him daddy while having sex.......that is very disturbing. Pass this book up.

Judge edition by Alexa Riley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I need the AR team to stop glorifying these exploitative themes. An 18 yr old on the run from an abusive Uncle immediately falls into the hands of another sexual predator except, of course, he’s rich, powerful, and very good looking which makes it a-okay. It. Is. Not. Okay. DNF @28%
Classic Alexa Riley. Scorching, deliciously filthy read with a super dominant alpha. Paired with the usual innocent yet sexually curious heroine. And a decent plot thrown it. I dig it. Not to everyone's taste, but I devoured it. And loved it. If I had to suspend reality amongst the horrors of the world, I'd rather it go in an OTT way that I can stomach. No cheating and OW drama.
The only thing I enjoyed about this story were the steamy scenes as they were HOT but that was all. The story was slow and boring and increadably familiar. It was just the same story that these authors have written before. There was a bit of breeding, but that was at the very end, I expect more. Also, I am so over the whole "Daddy" thing. It feels like a copout, as this story did not need it.
“Did your uncle put you on the pill?” “No.” She swallows and shakes her head. “He said I didn’t need it.” I can’t help the smirk that forms on my face. “That dirty motherf#cker wanted to get his own niece pregnant.”

Not really a situation for gleeful smirking I think.
The characters in this book made no sense at all. There was nothing believable the this is a waste of time so just save your 99 cents. I recommend this book to no one
I love this author. So when Judge came out I bought it that day. Sadly, it wasn't good. The amount of incest in the book was to much. It made my skin crawl. The guy was sweet in the end, but the beginning no no no he didnt seem any better than the other monster. Dont get me wrong the end was good (he was finally nice) but the beginning and middle weren't for me.
This is not romance or love. The H treats the h as an object, even though she is obviously in trouble and scared. He pressures her into obeying his physical desires right after they met and after he tells her he control is her entire future and legal situation. He also had just put an ankle monitor on her so she can't escape him like she did her creepy uncle. I stopped reading around 39% because I was so grossed out by the H. There was no effort to understand her or care for her feelings or situation. There was no conversation, just a bunch of rules and demands and pressure to expose herself. I don't think the h spoke more than a few words the entire 39% I read. He makes a brief mental note to himself to investigate the uncle when he notices she seems scared of him, but why not simply ask her? She's the witness and the victim!

You don't get to be a judge of you can't put basic clues together. He has been assigned her case the week prior so he knew she was an heiress who was living in luxury and going to school until she suddenly attacked her uncle, stole things and ran away. Hmmm right yes that is what rich girls do. So instead of asking her what happened and then protecting her, he disregards her brain and focuses on her body whether she is really willing or just going along with it because he has all the power over her life. I get it's fantasy but it reads more like an abusive man's fantasy than a woman's fantasy.

Some AR books have protective, loving Hs that just want to make the h happy . Then there are these stories where the H is angry and aggressive towards the h I guess because they are upset they are so attracted to her and it's all her fault? I don't really get it. Emotional abuse and a controlling man are not romantic. I think I'll be giving up on this author duo since I can't trust them to not write an abusive man as the H.
